  2. Thanks :-D
@Yarik...wait until the letter M comes along in the A-Z challenge ;-D
@Misha thanks, it´s a fun pastime and I can recommend it to anyone, but I doubt I will ever make any money doing it, writing on the other hand ;-D
    Cheers

  3. Thumbs up for your great work!
those little friends are on my to-do list, though they won't have the same detail as your bods because I'm trying to expand my wargame armies as quickly as possible now.

  4. Thanks Giano.
I advise you not to go too fast, Try and do the best you can...there´s no rush. This little lot took about 2 weeks, as a mass they look good but get up close and you start to see where I cut corners...this annoys me now..then it was acceptable, like you I wanted big armies and now.

  5. That's amazing work for only two weeks - well done! I reckon you're working about four times as quickly as I can...

  6. Two weeks? Man what are you up to? And all the other things you're working on!
I think I need some free time, so I can catch you up!
Great phalanx Paul, and the shields, decals or not, look very nice ;-)

  7. Very nice, especially the last pic, where you've got a shot of all the shields. LBMS are a god-send!

  8. It looks like a formidable force. The paint is good for 2 weeks work. Are they 28mm scale?

Sometimes I miss assembly line painting, except for the eyestrain and repetitive stress injuries.

  9. You could write Epic Fantasy using these little guys as templates for your vast armies. Pleasure to meet you from the A-Z Challenge!

  10. Very nice, love a bit of Greek and as for putting on decals and shield transfers I have to contract out the work.

  12. Thanks :-D
@Will...nope..20mm. I´d love to have a 28mm phalanx..maybe soon but a spear/halberd block with my Medieval perrys. Out of 80 I´ve got 11 finished..not based. With these bods I´m taking my time.
@Rich. A trick. First score the decal with a sharp blade, make a couple of lines across the surface. Then smear a bit of prittstick glue over the shiled and put the transfer on, position the decal and then with maximum pressure, squeeze the bod between forefinger and thumb, shield facing towards your thumb. Hold for a couple of seconds...finished.
@Jeff.pleasure to meet you too. A great idea this A-Z It´s opened my viewing of blogs right up. :-D

  20. Hey Paul. I've been browsing these A to Z challenge blogs for a few hours, now. After a while, they start looking the same. Then yours jumped completely out of the mold. Thanks for the refreshing read. One of the most unique takes on this challenge yet. Nice work!

  21. Very nice! I've always shied away from using transfers, but this is the perfect example of when to use them: those shields look great!

Makes me think of playing the board game Titan, with the various icons to mark your legions...

  22. Not my era but man those are impressive! Excellent work Paul.

  23. Very impressive Paul! One of the nice things about plastics is you can make big units. I bet the transfers cost more than the minis!
